Day admission includes whatever is listed for the ticket or package you book: the areas named, at the times named, with the services named. Other facilities a hotel has are therefore not automatically open to day guests. What counts is the offer description on the website of the hotel you book with.
Spa access, packages and extras
The simplest form is spa access only, for a day or a few hours. There are also packages that include more, such as breakfast, dinner, an afternoon snack or a treatment. And there are services you can book separately on top of day admission, for example a meal or a massage. A breakfast or restaurant offer without spa access, on the other hand, is not day admission.
Which areas, at which times
Day admission can cover the entire spa area or only part of it. Some tickets include pools, saunas and relaxation rooms, others only the swimming pool. Some day spa offers apply to an adults-only area.
Times also vary. The sauna may open later than the pool. Some offers apply only on weekdays, only from the afternoon or for a set number of hours, and different conditions may apply on weekends or public holidays.
Reservations
Day admission is not available everywhere without advance notice. Some hotels require a reservation, issue only a limited number of tickets or allocate places depending on occupancy.
Bathrobe, food and treatments
A bathrobe, towel and slippers are included in some packages, for example in a wellness bag you borrow for the day. With more basic admission they may not be included. If the offer says nothing about this, ask whether you can bring your own or borrow something and whether there is a charge.
Whether a meal, a snack or drinks are included also depends on the package. Treatments such as massages are included in some packages and available only at an extra charge in others.
Age and accompaniment
Some day spa offers are for adults only. Others have separate prices for children or areas that are open only from a certain age. Whether teenagers may enter only with an adult can also vary. Which rule applies depends on the hotel and the offer.
What to clarify before your visit
Read the package description on the hotel's offer page. If something that matters to you is missing there, such as which areas you can use, whether you need to reserve or whether a bathrobe and towel are included, ask the hotel before your visit.
